A Home Depot Canada training worksheet titled “Unpacking Privilege” has been leaked to Woke Up! and you won’t believe how hard they’re trying to screw their employees with wokeness. 

The worksheet explains different types of imagined privilege, from social privilege and white privilege to heterosexual privilege. It also echoes the unproven sociological concept of Critical Race Theory (CRT). The same flakey hoopla that the Trudeau government wants to force feed Canadian students. 

CRT is the theory that race is not a biologically grounded feature, but rather a socially constructed idea that is used to oppress and exploit people of colour. Critical race theorists claim that racism is inherent in the law and legal institutions with the intent to keep people of colour down in the social and economic hierarchy. CRT also preaches that both history and current events must always be viewed through the lens of race and constant aggrievement. 

“CRT is a nonsensical and dangerous philosophy,” according to author, singer, and comedian Dr. Jordan B. Peterson. “The idea that you can target an ethnic group with a collective crime regardless of the specific innocence or guilt of the constituent elements of that group… there’s absolutely nothing that’s more racist than that. It’s absolutely abhorrent.”

The Home Depot leaked doc explains, for example: If while growing up, college was an expectation of you, not a dream, you have class privilege. It goes on to define racial prejudice as a set of discriminatory or derogatory attitudes based on assumptions coming from perceptions about race/skin colour. 

Here’s what this wacky woke document says privilege looks like:

• If you’re confident that the police exist to protect you, you have WHITE PRIVILEGE
• If you can expect time off from work to celebrate your religious holidays, you have CHRISTIAN PRIVILEGE
• If you can use public bathrooms without stares, fear or anxiety, you have CISGENDER PRIVILEGE
• If you don’t have to explain that your spouse is of the same gender, you have HETEROSEXUAL PRIVILEGE.

The foolish worksheet goes on to tell employees: “If you don’t have to think about it, it’s a privilege” and orders them to “CHECK YOUR PRIVILEGE” by ticking off which terrible and offensive power group they are a part of: White, Male, Cisgender, Class, Able bodied, Heterosexual, Christian.

Many customers are saying they’ll boycott the company and its poorly constructed views… and that it should only be concerned with the colour of patio furniture. 

Home Depot’s headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, is fuming mad over the leaked worksheet. A statement from the U.S based company says that while it supports diversity, the worksheet was not created or approved by its corporate diversity, equity and inclusion department.

“This was a resource in our Canadian division not part of any required programming,” the company said in a released statement.

Talk about throwing the Canadian division under the back of the bus! Guess it depends if you view the issue through a critical lens and realize, it’s all programming.
