Despite pandering to the fringe but extremely vocal base of agenda-driven Far Leftists on Twitter for the past few years with increasingly-woke series and films, Marvel has earned the ire of the mob for daring to cast an actress some are calling an “anti-vax transphobe” in the lead role for their upcoming superhero flick, ‘Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever’.
Letitia Wright, who previously played Shuri in the first Black Panther film, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, is rumoured to be taking over the mantle of Black Panther after her on-screen brother Chadwick Boseman’s untimely real world death—if the trailers and posters for the film are to be believed.
Woke Marvel zombies with pronouns in their bios and masks on their Reddit avatars have been nervously wringing their claws for months over this decision, hoping against hope that someone else (Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, or even token-white Martin Freeman) would take over the role. Sadly for them, it seems Marvel made the decision long before Wright tried to get herself canceled.
“Wrights heinous crime,” says Clammy J. Byner, Get Woke Up! editor of the Hollywood Buzz, “is that she shared a 69-minute long video during the height of COVID hysteria to Twitter, in which a church pastor questioned the legitimacy of the Covid vaccine. There were also a handful of other comments that were considered by blue-haired, soy-sipping hacks to be “transphobic”. If only the video had claimed the vaccines were 100% safe and effective and that fetuses in the womb know if they’re trans, Wright and the pastor would be commended as paragons of truth and virtue rather than condemned as purveyors of misinformation and hate speech.”
Wright (or probably her Disney appointed publicist eventually deleted the controversial comments including an explanation from the actress herself) “If you don’t conform to popular opinions. but ask questions and think for yourself…you get cancelled,” Wright said in a now deleted tweet.
The new Hollywood starlet also stressed how she didn’t have bad intentions by sharing the video, saying: “My intention was not to hurt anyone, my ONLY intention of posting the video was it raised my concerns with what the vaccine contains and what we are putting in our bodies. Nothing else.”
But the mainstream press just aren’t listening. (What else is new!) The Wrap had this to say on the star:
In short, the growing popularity of anti-vaccination conspiracy theories is literally killing people. Which probably explains why so many of Wright’s fans took issue when she shared a video attempting to discourage people from taking COVID-19 vaccines, and then continued to defend the position in disagreements about it with her followers.
Wright’s initial tweet was quickly ratio’d — i.e., when replies to a tweet vastly outnumber likes or retweets, almost always an indicator the majority of people object to what was said — as people flocked to essentially beg her to recant.

Shortly after the trailer more or less revealed Shuri to be the next Black Panther, Reddit and Twitter were aflame with comments calling it the worst casting decision since Chris Pratt as Super Mario. Keyboards were mashed, tears were shed, and Funko Pops were ritualistically destroyed. Many claim that they will refuse to see the film now, and it’s not hard to imagine that fake reviews from these same ‘progressives’ blasting the film will spread online after the film’s release. Undoubtedly the mainstream media and the head nonchos at Marvel will be there to shame them for review-bombing such a truly diverse film.
Even grandmas favourite magazine, Rolling Stone had a take on truth speaking star:
The video questioned the success of a potential Covid-19 vaccine, as well as cast doubt on the quality and safety of other vaccines in general.

So called ‘fans’ of the film franchise on twitter were even less kind:
THE BOMBS BURSTING IN WOKE STUDIOS
The film, being a sequel to the most universally acclaimed and beloved film of all time ever according to the woke press, could be set up for failure. After losing its lead actor before production could even start, it already had an uphill battle ahead of it, especially in the woke wake of bombs: ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’ and ‘She-Hulk: Attorney At Law’. (Read our review here.)
“Marvel has alienated a large majority of their ‘racist’ fanbase by catering to a tiny nub of woke whiners who don’t even watch their content and are now in the process of boycotting them,” laments Byner. “Creating a mass exodus of comic fans and people with an IQ above 60, so it will be interesting to see who will actually go to see this film in the end, and who exactly will be singing its cinematic praises.”
In one Reddit thread, enlightened progressives and staunch BLM allies attempted to understand why a BIPOC would ever be against getting vaccinated, and came to the not-at-all racist conclusion that black people are just more susceptible to disinformation. Never fear, though, they are on hand to educate them and make them see the error of their ways!
With the Covid pandemic finally winding down a year or two too late, and anti-vax sentiment growing at an exponential rate, it seems like Marvel has purposefully timed the reveal of Letitia Wright being Black Panther to come out when there would be the least possible backlash. Whether their marketing team is that shrewd and calculating is debatable given their recent history and the slew of half-baked projects being churned out by the studio. Either way, it seems for the most part normal people don’t care about the controversy, and are just excited to consume again.
