Readers, tonight as I sit relaxed on my lanai in Boca Raton, I would like to share with you a rather troubling trend that occurred earlier this week. I’m sure by now most of the world knows the name Jordan B. Peterson. I was recently reacquainted with him while listening to a GWU! podcast. I recalled Peterson from many years ago during a lecture series that I spearheaded at the University of Toronto. Back then, Jordy, as we called him, was a shy, awkward young man, but no less brilliant and passionate. His values seemed to be focused on emboldening the human spirit, treating all equally—men, women and children. But hearing him now shows he has clearly been compromised by a repulsive grifter agenda. Peterson has become a pompous, showboat who has lost his way in the world with his pedestrian commentary and click bait junk news insights for his basement dwelling incel followers.
Readers, we are living in an age where we are seeing great thinkers such as Peterson choosing money over love, and fame over his fellow man. I am concerned that the descent into fake alt-right virtue signaling will only become more extreme for this soulless conman. It is now more important than ever for like-minded publications like GWU! to continue to fight for us and to uplift the human spirit through truth.
