NFL fans are crying foul after NBC was busted spiking the former name and iconic image of the Washington Commanders during a recent Sunday Night Football broadcast.
TV viewers noticed that the network digitally erased the iconic Redskins name and logo from an image when comparing former quarterback Robert Griffin III and rookie sensation Jayden Daniels on screen. The team’s old logo, which was an image of chief John Two Guns White Calf, was banished in 2020 due to woke libtards unfounded accusations of racism.
Photoshopping the Past
The graphic in question showed Washington Commanders quarterback Daniels’ new record for rushing yards compared to former Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, the previous record holder. Astute TV viewers were shocked to observe that NBC had digitally removed the Redskins logo from Griffin’s uniform.
The obvious attempt to erase the team’s storied past brought about criticism of the woke Photoshop job, which sources inside NBC claim was the shoddy work of an NBC intern.
Hail to the Chief
Following the incident, which has done more harm than good (much like most of the woke movement—ed) the Native American Guardians Association posted a thread on X showing other examples of the Redskins name and logo being scalped from history, including one example by soon-to-be unemployed president Joe Biden.
Another user said, “NBC actually stands for Newspeak Broadcasting Corporation,” in reference to George Orwell’s timeless classic 1984, where the all powerful ‘Big Brother’ government erases and rewrites history.
One fan who was at the Sunday night game commented on reddit that indigenous Americans were never offended by the logo.
“Did you know that the literal family members of the Blackfeet chief whose image was used to create the original logo want it brought back! If you won’t give them their land back at least give them their logo. Now that’s what I call racism!”
Redskins Want Their Pigskin Back
The great nephew of the chief John Two Guns White Calf, whom the Redskins logo is based on, said in an interview in September, “The fans want him back, and we want him back.”
Two Guns White Calf’s nephew, Thomas White Calf continued:
“Our ancestor was the most famous and most photographed native in history. Two Guns was also the face on the Indian head nickel. I’m proud of him. The Blackfeet are proud of him.”
NBC has yet to respond to GWU’s request for comment on their Indian-giving graphics gameplay.
