The classic song “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” is making noise this week after MSM outlets including the Daily Mail and New York Post reported that a group in Norway called ‘TCMA: Trans Cultural Mindfulness Alliance’ was demanding the 1968 hits removal from Apple and Spotify because it “perpetuates multiple harmful anti-trans stereotypes.”
The tweet, which was first discovered on Elon Musk’s Twitter, quickly circulated the globe. Even celebrities, like Piers Morgan, were chiming in on the outrageous demand by the Scandinavian group.
FACT CHECK!
The problem, however, was that no news organization bothered to fact check the story or even contact the group in Norway to verify the legitimacy of the claim. Had they done their job they would’ve learned that TCMA is a parody account and any ‘demand’ they were making was just a joke.
“The bigger concern is that if the mainstream establishment media can be so lazy about this story it begs to question what else they’ve been doing, especially over the past two years,” said a former journalism professor who asked his name not be used for fear of retribution from his colleagues in the transvestite media community. “In the media’s defense, however, the trans community is so nutty that a demand like this is not beyond them.”
FAKE NEWS
TCMA, who also identify as satire, have since commented on the ordeal, saying rather humorously that with these low standards of journalism it’s ‘no wonder Joe Biden is in the White House’. The group, who claim that no one from the MSM contacted them to fact check the tweet, had not responded to GWU!’s request for comment by press time.
