The recent move by YouTube/Google to demonetize truth teller Russell Brand is the latest example of a 1984-style tyrannical attack by the powers that should not be. Brand, a successful comedian and actor before dropping the glitz and glamour of HollyWeird to critic the alt-left during the COVID pandemic, was recently accused by anonymous “women” of sexual assault; a claim that he vehemently denies. Brand even went so far as to post about the approaching accusations hours before the mainstream media dropped their dirty bomb. Brand indicated during his dire warning to his millions of fans that “he had been forewarned during the pandemic that they would be coming for him.”
#ISTANDWITHBRAND
I first met Russell Brand while working on the set of the forgettable film, Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I was hired to punch up some of the sloppy gags that had been written into the screwball love story. Times were tough and, honestly, I would’ve taken any gig I could find to pay off my third alimony. Brand was at the height of his fame then and everyone wanted a piece of him. I do, however, remember him being a proper gentleman and good sport. He seemed impressed by my punch up, especially my potty jokes and sexual innuendos.
Of course this doesn’t exonerate him from being extra playful in the bedroom, but it does demonstrate how these accusations are difficult to accept. Particularly because there hasn’t yet been any criminal charges brought against the funnyman. Still, the left with their giant caveman knuckles pounding on the keyboard have deleted Brand and “demoted” him to fringe status with the aid of their corporate sponsors. His channel on Youtube has been sent back to the Internet Dark Ages and his live tour, which I had tickets to, has been postponed.
LIBERALS GO OFF BRAND
While hosting Volodymyr Zelenskyy, star of the sleeper film Paddington Bear and president of Ukraine, last week, all 338 Canadian government elected officials gave two standing ovations to Yaroslav Hunka, a former member of the Nazis—yes, a literal Nazi! When the truth was exposed, officials exclaimed they didn’t know who Hunka was, despite the 98-year-old Northern Ontarian having been investigated by the Commission of Inquiry on War Criminals in the 1980s and also having him appear on Canadian news sites last year, where he supported Ukraines invasion of Russia.
What a Bunch of Deutschbags
The gaffe is a slap in the face to every Canadian soldier who fought against Hitler, as well as the countless families who lost relatives during the Second World War. Yet, instead of each member of parliament, including Dictator Trudeau, issuing an apology, which the world is owed, the government put forth a motion to erase the incident from the public record. They literally attempted to pretend that Dictator Trudeau did not meet in private with the Nazi and that they (the elected officials) stood for a total of two minutes cheering on the war vet like the trained seals they are. In the end, they forced Anthony Rota, the man who invited Hunka, to resign and disappear into obscurity, much like they’ve attempted with Brand (get ready to Rumble—ed).
My colleague Rafe Klinger recently reminded me that the victors write the history books, and that unfortunately is what we’re witnessing in real time. Forgetting Sarah Marshall was about getting over a painful breakup. We’ve all been there. The lesson of that film is that time heals all wounds, but these days it appears that the left no longer has the time. Their time is running out. Cancel culture is backfiring and Dictator Trudeau is looking more and more like his leading role in this comedy of errors will be coming to an early cancellation. I for one can’t wait to see what’s playing next!!!
