BIDEN’S MASK MANDATE – NOT SO IN YOUR FACE!
The controversial and heavily political federal US mask law on planes and other forms of public transportation has been struck down as unconstitutional by Florida Judge, and Trump supporter, Kathryn Kimball Mizelle.
Judge Mizelle said the national public health agency had exceeded its legal powers in issuing the mandate. Her ruling found that the CDC had improperly invoked what is known as the “good cause exception”, allowing the agency to skip public notice and comment on the mandate. “Because ‘our system does not permit agencies to act unlawfully even in pursuit of desirable ends’,” wrote Mizelle, invoking another case, “the Court declares unlawful and vacates the Mask Mandate.”
It’s no secret that the US aviation industry had been fiercely lobbying against the mandate for months, citing customer complaints and the cost and legal liability of enforcing the mask mandates. Could the bottom line have played a role in reversing ‘the science’ of woke mask virtue signaling?
Meanwhile in fantasy land, White House press secretary Jen Psaki, who will soon move to the Woke echo chamber MSNBC, called the decision “disappointing.”
